Interested in a career that draws on your creativity and rewards you for your skills? Consider the persuasive communication professions. The Bachelor of Science in Advertising & Public Relations (APR) perpares you to create persuasive messages for a variety of media. You'll learn to analyze audiences, write copy, select media, and manage campaigns. After graduation you can work in commerce, education, entertainment, government, or non-profit organizations. The prospects have never been better as the number of professional positions in public relations and advertising is expected to increase by more than a third by 2010 (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

The undergraduate degree (B.S.) in APR was initiated in September 2005. Currently, there are nearly 70 APR majors. There are 15 full-time faculty, a number of adjunct faculty, two staff assistants and several student workers. Degree program faculty also serve all RIT students by offering junior- and senior-level Liberal Arts electives in communication as well as RIT students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts Communication minor, Journalism minor and the College's Communication Concentration.
